Manorial and Ancient Rights

This policy is also known as: ‘Manorial Rights’

What are the key covers, features and benefits?

Manorial rights such as rights to mine, hunt or fish on land often affect properties in England and Wales. Such rights are a legacy from medieval times when land was divided into manors. When land was sold on, the manorial rights were often excluded from sales, their benefit being retained by the landowner who may have sold on such rights to a third party. GCS offer bespoke legal indemnity insurance policies to cover against manorial rights being exercised in the future which would include cover for any consequential diminution in value to the property.
