Rights of Reverter

This policy is also known as: ‘School Sites Act’

What are the key covers, features and benefits?

The School Sites Acts of 1841, 1844, 1849 and 1852 encouraged landowners to donate land for public or charitable purposes, such as for schools or places of worship.  The donations were made on the basis that if the land ceased to be required or used for the relevant purpose it would revert to the original land owner.  GCS offers a policy to cover the situation where the original land owner or their descendants seek to reclaim the land or property
